PEABODY, MASS. (WHDH) –
State Police bomb squad personnel responded to a home in Peabody this week after a homeowner found what police described as an “apparent piece of military ordinance” in their home.
Police said the homeowner found the object on Monday.
Troopers responding to the scene later identified the item as an old three-pound British armor-piercing round, according to State Police. Officials were able to successfully dispose of the round, State Police said.
