The City of Cincinnati has honored the medical staff who cared for Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin when he went into cardiac arrest during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

In recognition of their work, Mayor Aftab Pureval gave the staff at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center the key to the city.

Pureval says Hamlin’s incident was scary, but it couldn’t have happened at a better place because the staff at UC Medical Center represent the best in the field.

Hamlin is out of the hospital and still faces a lengthy recovery, but doctors say he is making remarkable progress.
