How to Prepare Before Microblading Session

If you are planning on getting a microblading session, there are a few things that you should know. Pregnant or nursing women are not good candidates for microblading, and people currently receiving chemotherapy or radiation should ensure that they have completed the Microblading Parker, Colorado treatment. You should also consult your doctor about this procedure to ensure it is safe. Your skin type will also influence the results of your microblading session.

Avoiding Sunbeds

Before your microblading session, it is important to avoid sunbeds and tanning booths. It would help if you also avoided excessive sweating and exercise. You may consider doing a low-impact workout instead if you have to work out. Also, avoiding using products containing AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid) in the same area as your brows is best.

After microblading, you should avoid the sun for at least ten days. It is because the sun’s UV Rays can cause the pigment to fade very quickly. It is also important to avoid excessive sweating, as it contains salt that can cause the brows to fade.

Avoiding Direct Sunlight

It is important to avoid direct sunlight before microblading to preserve the color. The sun contains harmful UV rays that will cause the color to fade very quickly. Therefore, you should avoid sun exposure for a minimum of four weeks before the procedure. It is also recommended to wear a hat to protect your eyebrows. You can also use sunblock to protect them while outdoors.

To maximize the results of your microblading session, you must avoid direct sunlight, tanning, and any medication that can affect blood clotting. It includes aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil supplements, and other medications that may cause the skin to dry. It would help if you also refrained from drinking alcohol and engaging in any activity that causes sweating before your session.

Avoiding Caffeine

Some people don’t like to drink caffeine before their microblading session. It is because caffeine affects your body. It can lower your immune system and make you more prone to infections. Alcohol also thins the blood, which will slow down the healing process.

You are avoiding coffee or other caffeinated beverages before your microblading session is an important step to ensure a successful outcome. Caffeine and alcohol can increase your chances of bleeding during the procedure, and it’s also not healthy for your skin.

Moreover, caffeine can swell your skin, negatively impacting your results. Because of this, it’s essential to avoid caffeine or alcohol for 48 hours before your appointment. It will help reduce the risk of scabs and bleeds and make your recovery easier.

Avoiding Tweezing

One week before your microblading session, you should avoid tweezing or waxing your eyebrows. Also, you should stop using Retinol products and stop taking vitamin A at least one month before your session. It will help if you avoid alcohol and ibuprofen at least 24 hours before your appointment.

The process is slightly uncomfortable but not painful. The anesthesia is applied 30 minutes before the procedure and is usually no more painful than tweezing or threading.

As with any tattoo, you can expect some discomfort after the procedure. Following pre-care instructions is essential for preventing excessive bleeding and sensitivity, which could discolor the pigment. It is also best to avoid microblading during your menstrual cycle, as this could cause you to experience more sensitivity.
