HOUSTON — About 190,358 barrels per day of oil production in the Gulf of Mexico were shut in on Tuesday ahead of Hurricane Ian, said the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement.
A total of 14 oil, gas production platforms were evacuated by Ian, the regulator said. (Reporting by Arathy Somasekhar in Houston)
